The Rattler TS50-640 is a perfect addition to any hunter's arsenal. This specific Rattler model pairs a 50mm germanium lens with an upgraded sub-35mk 640x512 thermal detector and a 1024x768 OLED display, which combine to provide an eye-popping detection range of 2500 yards. The combination of the 12 micron sensor with the 50mm lens also places the base magnification for this unit right in the sweet spot in terms of flexibility for both hog and predator hunters, at 2.5X. This magnification level isn't too high and restrictive on the hunter's field of view and is simultaneously just high enough to ensure there isn't too much resolution degradation when digitally zooming to 5X and 10X. The Rattler series of thermal scopes were specifically designed to be compact and lightweight, as this not only ensures its small footprint can be used on a multitude of shooting platforms, but also gives the series secondary use as a thermal monocular as well.
