Each set includes a USB-C adapter, so you can run it off any USB-C charging cable and power it from a 5V USB source -- battery pack, truck USB port, or camp power bank. It's ultralight (under 4.0 oz), tough enough for real field use, and small enough to fit into the palm of your hand.
Power draw is minimal -- about 0.27-0.30 amps at 5V (~1.35 watts) -- roughly 27% of the power your phone uses while charging. We chose the fan size and wattage to balance drying speed and battery life, so you can keep air moving in your boots without draining your power bank.
They're also perfect on the move - run them in the truck or between stalks.
What it is (and isn't):
The Backcountry Bootdryer is not a 110V heated boot dryer with elements and a big fan. It's a portable airflow system made for situations where weight, space, and power consumption matter.
For best results, pair it with a heat source - campfire warmth, a stove in a tipi/wall tent, or your truck floorboard with the heat blasting. With warm air available, it can dry boots up to 10x faster than letting them air-dry alone.
