The H12 Classic is available in both rifle and carbine configurations. The rifle's longer barrel favors a longer sight radius and steadier hold, while the more compact carbine emphasizes quick handling in dense brush, tight terrain, or around the property. Regardless of length, every H12 shares the same intuitive handling and traditional lever-action feel.

Chambered in a range of time-honored pistol calibers, the H12 excels at short- to medium-range work where control, efficiency, and shootability matter most. Select calibers feature Henry's side loading gate paired with a removable tube magazine, allowing the rifle to be topped off as needed while still unloading safely and easily. Models chambered in .327 Federal Magnum / .32 H&R Magnum and .41 Magnum utilize a removable tube magazine without a side loading gate.

Across all variants, the H12 Classic Rifle & Carbine includes a traditional semi-buckhorn rear sight with brass bead front sight, sling swivel studs, a ventilated rubber recoil pad, and an internal transfer bar safety system.
