Scrape Tassels are the easy add-on that turns a good scrape into a great one. Hang them on a mock scrape, drop them onto a natural scrape, or add them to your Licking Stick or Licking Branch -- anywhere you want more scent-holding power in a small, simple package. Made from the same absorbent fiber blend as our HempScent Rope, each 7-inch tassel soaks up and holds both the scent you apply and the deer's own scent, so your setups pull harder and stay active.
Bring dead scrapes back to life
Here's a use most hunters miss: as trees grow and deer work a scrape year after year, the licking branch climbs out of reach and the scrape goes cold. A Scrape Tassel adds 7 inches of drop to bring that overhanging branch back down to deer level -- reviving a historic scrape that's already in a proven spot instead of starting one from scratch.
How it works
Use the included zip ties to attach a tassel to a limb or branch within a deer's reach, then add your favorite HODAG scent -- AllSeason Scent to jumpstart it or Sweet November Rut Scent for the rut -- or a scent of your own. That's it. They also double as a scent drag or scent wick when you want to lay down a trail.
That's the HODAG philosophy in a small package: we're not trying to bottle a buck's glands or urine. We'd rather get the deer to lay down the real thing themselves -- the best scent there is comes straight off the deer.
